My research interests are focused on high energy physics. In this context, I have worked on various aspects of string theory, including compactifications, applications to cosmology, and the AdS/CFT correspondence.
Most recently I have been exploring applications of holography to modeling strongly coupled systems out of equilibrium (especially in the context of the dynamics of quark-gluon plasma created in heavy ion collisions).
